Mat has been.. The hell am I doing? This doesn't have to be third person. I have been doing comedy in some form since I have been 15 years old. I grew up on late night HBO comedy nights. My family would play cards until 1:00 a.m. during the summer, and I was blessed with the remote control. Robin Williams, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, the one who drugged women, Rita Rudner, Elaine Boosler, Billy Crystal, Bob Zany, and Andrew Dice Clay. I did my first open mic in Fullerton, CA when I was 15 years old at a coffee house and once the laugh drug kicks in, you need more and more. Under the brilliant and mindful teachings of Bobbie Oliver and her Tao of Comedy philosophy, I started an actual journey into stand-up comedy. Not a professional journey. No, that would mean money and not drink tickets. No, I just enjoy doing sets. I have performed at the Ice House, The Comedy Store, Tao Comedy Studio, Flappers Burbank, The Just Edgy Enough Comedy Show and in my heaaaad....In my heeeeeaaad...zombie...zombie......zom? it's the Cranberries....you don't....no?......k. Also another comedian on here, Bryan Stoops who hails from California but is now out of At Least It's Not Midtown, New York City.... He is my dearest friend and colleague in all things. If you like the stuff that I do, you are going to love the stuff he does. Lastly, it's a balmy 83° here in Los Angeles, California. I have a crazy dog named Flagg. Stephen King fans will get it. My favorite hobby is trying to get tickets to 70 mm screenings, failing, and throwing my phone to the ground. My turn ons are light switches. My turn offs are people bashing movies that I like. And pilates. No, not really. But my comedy teacher told me that words that sound funny are funny. Balls.
