Technology and Equipment
What technology/equipment do I need to participate?
Whether you’re a fan or comedian, you’ll need a computer with audio/recording capabilities. You will also need a stable internet connection. You are encouraged to log in a few minutes early and test your equipment. Plauzzable, Inc. is not responsible for your equipment or technical difficulties or loss of participation as a result thereof.
What if I do not have a desktop or laptop computer?
Our platform is currently designed for desktops and some laptops. We plan to release an updated version with an adaptive design for tablets and phones in the near future.
What if I have technical difficulties?
You are responsible for audio and recording technology on your personal computer, as well as a stable internet connection. Testing your equipment in advance is highly recommended. Plauzzable, Inc. is not responsible for your equipment or technical difficulties or loss of participation as a result thereof.
Can I cast Plauzzable on my TV?
Yes, using only the Chrome browser.
Is there a mobile Plauzzable app?
Currently, there is no mobile Plauzzable app. Good news! There are plans for an app in the near future.

What are the definitions of clean, corporate, moderate, club, and blue comedy?
- Corporate Comedy: Comedians who perform corporate comedy do NOT cuss/swear or discuss topics that include sex, drugs, or vulgar content. These comedians have material that is work appropriate and human resource friendly.
- Clean Comedy: Comedians who perform clean comedy do not cuss/swear or discuss sexual content. This is similar to corporate comedy but may contain a hint of innuendo.
- Moderate Comedy: Comedians who perform moderate comedy may include light cussing/swearing (no f-word and minimal cuss/swear words), and use sexual innuendoes, but nothing vulgar.
- Club Comedy: Comedians who perform club comedy cuss/swear, discuss sex/sexuality, drugs, and/or other edgy/provocative topics.
- Blue Comedy: Comedians who perform blue comedy tend to use cuss/swear words and/or foul language. They tend to discuss sex/sexuality, drugs, vulgar and potentially shocking topics.
How do I follow a comedian?
- From your dashboard, scroll to the “Trending Comedians” or “New Here” section. You can search comedian cards in either of these sections. Once you’ve identified a comedian you’d like to follow, click the “Follow” button on the bottom of the comedian card
- Comedians are not able to follow other comedians currently.
How do I access a comedian’s profile page?
There are several ways to view a comedian's profile page.
- If you are following a comedian(s), you will see their card in the “Comedians I follow” section on your dashboard. Click on the comedian’s card to open the comedian’s profile page.
- On your dashboard page, go to the section titled, “Trending Comedians”. Select a comedian by clicking on their card to open the comedian’s profile page.
- On your dashboard page, go to the section titled, “New Here”. Select a comedian by clicking on their card to open the comedian’s profile page.
How do I learn more about a specific show?
On your dashboard, scroll to the section titled “Most Popular Shows” or “All Shows”. Hover your mouse over the show you’d like to learn more about, and a description of the show will appear. If no description appears it means the comedian did not provide a description.
How many shows can I watch?
Currently, fans can watch unlimited shows. Limitations to the number of shows available to fans may change in the future.
Can I book a private show with a specific comedian?
Please contact us by using the“Contact Us Form” with “Private Show Inquiry ”in the subject line”.
Can I direct message other fans or comedians?
Currently, there is no direct message feature.
How can I share feedback with a comedian?
- Upon leaving a show, fans will be asked to leave a 1–5-star review for the comedian and have the opportunity to leave feedback. The rating and review will then be displayed for all to see on the comedian’s profile page.
- Fans may also visit the comedian’s profile page and share feedback in the feedback section.
- Additionally, fans can share feedback via the chat box during a show.
I left feedback, but it appears to have been removed.
Feedback may be removed by the Plauzzable admin if it violated our Terms of Service. If you are not sure or suspect that you’re experiencing a technical issue, please contact us by using the“Contact Us Form”

What is constructive feedback?
Constructive feedback is the type of feedback we encourage at Plauzzable. Constructive feedback helps comedians improve their performance. If you are not sure if your feedback is constructive, use this method to check. THINK.Is your feedback:

- Kind
A comedian acted inappropriately; can I leave inappropriate feedback?
No. If a comedian violated the Terms of Service, please contact us by using the“Contact Us Form”
Registering and scheduling shows
I’m a comedian. I scheduled a show, but I do not see it on my calendar or dashboard?
Try refreshing the browser window and the show you created should appear in the calendar.
How do I delete a show?
From your main dashboard, go to your calendar. Identify the show you’d like to cancel and click on it. A pop-up window will appear with the option to delete the show.
How do I register for a show?
From your dashboard page, you may scroll to the “Most Popular Shows” or “All Shows” section to view the shows. Once you’ve identified the show you’d like to watch, click on the blue “Register” button.If you are a fan, the “Registered Show” section at the top of your dashboard will populate with the shows you have registered for. On the day of the show, a button labeled “Join” will appear. When you are ready to view the show, you will click the “Join” button.If you are a comedian, the “Registered Show” section near the middle of your dashboard will populate with the shows you have registered for. On the day of the show, you will click on the “Join” button at the bottom of the show card.
How do I cancel my registration to a show?
If you are a fan, you will go to the “Upcoming shows” section on your dashboard. Look for the show you’d like to unregister for. If it doesn’t appear in the two displayed spots, click on the “See full list” link and scroll through the list until you see the show you’d like to unregister to. Click on the “Registered” button. The button will turn blue and display “Register”.If you are a comedian, you will go to the “Upcoming shows” section on your dashboard. Look for the show you’d like to unregister for. If it doesn’t appear in the first few displayed spots, move your mouse to the right of the list of show cards and click on the arrow to move the carousel to view more shows. Once you see the show you’d like to unregister for. Click on the “Registered” button. The button will turn blue and display “Register”.
Do I have to register for shows in advance?
No. You can register any time before the show has ended.
Can I attend a show that has already started?
Yes.
If I leave a show, can I go back into it?
No.
General show questions
How long is a typical show?
A show can be anywhere from 15 minutes to several hours long. The length of the show is left to the comedian’s discretion.
How many comedians are in a show?
There can be 1 or more comedians in a show. The number of comedians is decided by the comedian who is hosting and/or producing the show.
What if I am the only audience member?
The comedian is expected to perform regardless of audience size.
It’s showtime, but I’m still in the waiting room. What’s wrong?
Once the comedian starts the show, fans should automatically be admitted into the show. If for some reason the comedian is not able to or does not start the show, fans will be left in the waiting room. If there is a problem, the comedian may need a few minutes to troubleshoot. If you’ve waited longer than a reasonable amount of time, we invite you to select another show to view instead.
Do fans have to turn their camera on?
Fans do not have to turn their camera on, however, turning cameras on (when possible) is highly encouraged.
Having fan cameras on provides a more positive experience for the comedian and other fans.
- Benefits include:
- Comedian(s) receive immediate feedback on their performance.
- Active participation creates a more welcoming experience for comedians and fans.
- Your smile and laughter are contagious. Seeing and hearing others laugh promotes laughter and joy within yourself. It’s scientifically proven!
Do fans have to turn their audio on?
Turning audio on is not a requirement. However, the comedian may invite fans to turn on their audio so the comedian can hear laughter. Some comedians prefer to engage with fans for crowd work and may ask a fan to turn their audio on to participate. Whether the fan chooses to turn on their audio or not, is entirely up to the fan.
Is there a time when I should NOT turn my camera on?
Yes, thank you for asking! Do not turn your camera on if you are walking, driving, running, or participating in activities other than enjoying the comedy show. Camera movement may be distracting to the comedian and other fans. If you’re not sure, ask yourself, would I do "insert your questionable activity here" during an in-person show at the club? If the answer is no, then do not turn your camera on.
Is there a time when I should NOT turn my audio on?
Yes, thank you for asking! Please do NOT turn your audio when you are engaging in activities that will distract from the performance. These activities may include, but are not limited to, talking, engaging inside conversations, playing music, typing, rattling a bag of chips, moving your microphone around, walking, running, working out, driving, or anything else that makes unnecessary noise. Also, we ask that you turn your audio off if your dogs are barking, neighbours are leaf blowing, or kids are playing, crying, or practicing their drum solo. We ask that you use common sense and be courteous to the comedian.
Can the comedian turn off my camera and/or microphone?
Yes, the comedian can turn off a fan’s recording and audio device. However, the comedian can NOT turn recording or audio devices on. Turning recording and audio devices off is at the comedian’s discretion.
What if I cannot see or hear the comedian?
We recommend that you check and troubleshoot your personal devices first. If your devices are working, you may notify the comedian in the chat box.
Can the comedian see or hear me?
The comedian and fans can see you if your camera is on. The comedian and fans can hear you if your microphone is unmuted.
Interaction between fans and comedians
How do I interact with the comedian? How do I share feedback with the comedian?
Comedians appreciate laughter, smiles, nods, and any facial expressions to show that you’re enjoying their performance.We do not encourage nor promote any sort of heckling from a fan unless the comedian specifically gives the fan permission to do so.Fans are welcome to share constructive feedback in the chat box.Fans are welcome to engage by using emojis.
What does the punch emoji mean?
The punching emoji means great punchline!
Is there a limit to the use of the chat box or emojis?
There is no limit to commenting in the chat box or use of emojis during a show.
What if I see or hear a fan do or say something inappropriate?
Comedians have the ability and right to turn off a fan’s camera and/or audio at any time.Please review ourTerms of Service
What if I do not think the comedian is funny?
If you do not find something humorous, you may show the appropriate response through facial expression. You might refrain from laughing or smiling. You might even frown or wince. Comedians watch for these types of reactions.You may also engage with an appropriate emoji or constructive feedback in the chat box.
My friends think I’m funny. How does someone become a comedian?
If you are interested in becoming a comedian, we recommend you try it.
